Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (2020) is an action-adventure comic film based on the Sega video game series. The script was written by Pat Casey, Josh Miller and John Whittington, the film is starring Ben Schwartz as Sonic the Hedgehog. He is joined by Colleen O’Shaughnessy and Natasha Rothwell. The movie is about Sonic (with Tails) and Tails, who join forces to find the Master Emerald. This is before Doctor Robotnik.
Following the success of the film’s first installment, Paramount Pictures launched the sequel in May of 2020. Fowler returned as director and Josh Miller as writer. Schwartz, Carrey, and the rest of the cast played their roles. The filming took place in Vancouver, Hawaii.

Sonic is a loved family member and a dog to play with , and is an amiable person to everyone. We all know that Sonic is an unhappy little boy who is determined to save the world from the evil. The first attempt at justice through vigilante and follows his father Tom (James Marsden’s) suggestion to wait until the moment when he can be honest. Trouble is coming to save Sonic’s life as Dr. Robotnik, his archnemesis is back to conquer the world and take out Sonic.
The scriptwriters and director Jeff Fowler get to the conclusion without spending too long to go through the events of the first part. The action begins immediately when Sonic trying to stop a burglary, but instead , causing chaos within the city. This is an excellent sequence that sets the stage for the rest of the more lengthy, more intense sequel. It takes the best elements from the first film and adds new characters, visual effects, and action.
Sonic (Ben Schwartz) is still at his best. Sonic is a perfect fit for anyone of any age. Jim Carrey’s Robotnik was a bit more sinister and less entertaining. While there was more humor from the actor, his character not a good one. Idris Elba is awe-inspiring as Knuckles, the red anthropomorphic with his heart in the good place, but is ultimately in the wrong spot. As Sonic’s cute fangirl Tails Colleen O’Shaughnessey is the perfect filler and is always there to support her heroes. It’s an excellent show, and it’s enjoyable to witness the chemistry between the two. Tika Sumpter and James Marsden are both believable as Maddie and Tom and Tom, respectively. Maddie (played partially by Natasha Rothwell), and Rachel (played partially by James Marsden) are at their best and provide laugh-out-loud moments, despite the fact that they are silly and humorous.
The sequel is an excellent film. It’s a complete entertainment package with an expansive adventure. It’s a bit too long toward the close. It could be improved by reducing some of its content. The franchise stays faithful to its origins and lives up to the promises it makes, for all fans as well as non-fans.
