Renuka Rajwade (Spruha Joshuai) travels to Goa in search of work. There, she meets Rohit Sarpotdar, a young and dynamic entrepreneur. They quickly become close friends and fall in love. She decides to tell Ranjeet Rajwade about her brief affair (Kashyap Paraulekar) when she returns home. The drama begins with confessions and confrontations.
Coffee is centered around three main characters: Ranjeet, Renuka and Rohit. The film could easily be described as a typical love triangle, as it offers nothing special.
Poor editing and a weak screenplay are two of the obvious flaws viewers would be able to spot. The twists are predictable and too common. However, the dialogues are powerful. The film’s saving grace is also the music.
All three main characters perform well enough. Spruha is the star of the show. Siddharth is handsome and displays great poise. The scenes between Spruha, Kashyap, where they indulge in long conversations are very interesting. The film has Siddharth and Spruha more often together, but the chemistry between them and Kashyap works better.
This film is worth a single viewing. It has a slow start, but a powerful climax.
